Urban Water Supply System Waste   Case Study

Aging infrastructure, faulty irrigation systems, earth movement breaking pipes and many other factors can contribute to the waste of large volumes of pure treated drinking water.  Most water wastage occurs without the knowledge of the property owner or the municipal provider of domestic water. In some situations a large volume of water is wasted and the property owners knowingly allow the water to run into a drain for weeks without taking appropriate action to fix the leak.
The following ‘Case Study’ records the nine + weeks of pumping pure water into a drain rather than locating and fixing the leak.
